Our education system needs radical surgery, indeed.
In the landmark 1983 report A NATION AT RISK: The Imperative For Educational Reform is this:
If an unfriendly foreign power had attempted to impose on America the mediocre educational performance that exists today, we might well have viewed it as an act of war. As it stands, we have allowed this to happen to ourselves. We have even squandered the gains in student achievement made in the wake of the Sputnik challenge. Moreover, we have dismantled essential support systems which helped make those gains possible. We have, in effect, been committing an act of unthinking, unilateral educational disarmament.
The little darlings who in your classroom damage property, deface books, steal personal items from your desk drawers and lie to your face when you catch them in the act are the kind of children Bill Ayers grew up to be.
And when we understand that violent radicals such as William Ayers and such ilk as Ward Churchill have been tenured as professors, poisoning naive minds in breach of their oaths and basic U.S. Citizenship obligations, we find that unfriendly foreign powers allied with domestic enemies have indeed attempted such acts of war, both by intellectual means and with bombs, some filled with nails to maximize injuries to Establishment icons. As a teacher and authority figure, YOU are the Establishment.
An idea of what Ayers has in mind for America's schools was provided in his own words not 40 years ago when Obama was eight years old, but less than two years ago in November 2006 at the World Education Forum in Caracas hosted by dictator Hugo Chavez.
With Chavez at his side, Ayers voiced his support for "the political educational reforms under way here in Venezuela under the leadership of President Chavez. We share the belief that education is the motor-force of revolution. . . . I look forward to seeing how . . . all of you continue to overcome the failures of capitalist education as you seek to create something truly new and deeply humane...Teaching invites transformations, it urges revolutions large and small. La educacion es revolucion." It is that form of socialist revolution that Ayers, and Obama, have worked to bring to America. LINK
You think ESL, language barriers, work ethics and classroom disruptions are a problem now? Just wait.
And in case you think that your good-paying teaching job is secure after the withering away of the state, no, make that theft by deception of the state, you’re wrong.
Here are some videos you should know about--and these are associates, allies of Barack Hussein Obama. Is this what you’d want on the CV of someone who would be responsible for our national defense and economic well-being? Someone you know you can trust deep down to really defend and protect YOUR family?

If these videos have been scrubbed and are no longer available, you know just how devastating they are perceived to be by the truth-fearing bookburner censors on the radical Left.
Teachers are the ‘gatekeepers’ that can help keep the hungry Internationalist plunderer foxes out of the U.S. henhouse. You are right at the door. If you let the fox in, you may become part of the meal.
