What goes around, comes around ‘tis said. It is no big secret that some judges and legislators are doing things completely against the will of the majority. The illegal alien amnesty efforts, sanctuary cities, widespread deliberate obstruction and avoidance of genuine prosecution for ACORN, kowtowing to CAIR even after 9-11 and providing courtroom time to hear bullies and profiteers who are trying to destroy marriage, outlaw God and plunder Country. If people keep giving such people more power, at their own expense and risk, there will come a day when their power is so consolidated that they will have no more need for your services as one of their front-line drones. At that point, you are not just expendable, you are a liability. As has been said elsewhere, when intellectuals become disillusioned with totalitarian Socialism they are liquidated. Do you really want that, Comrade? This might be the right time to read Alexsandr Solzhenitsyn’s The Gulag Archipelago .
