Teachers, the kids--and older criminal malcontents--who are right now defacing Republican billboards, stealing Yes on Proposition 8 signs vehicles with McCain for President bumper stickers..are very likely the same who were hellions in your classroom last week or last decade despite your protests. Don’t think you’re immune from random, even targeted vandalism, whether you normally vote Liberal or Conservative. When their “rage against the machine” occurs, anything that represents The Establishment is a likely target. As an educator you are an authority figure...and while your authority mostly vanishes off-campus, you are still a well-paid member of the Establishment. And no matter whose vehicle gets keyed, the rates of many go up in high-risk areas. Nicer cars make more appealing targets. Anarchy costs you personally. Help put a stop to it by putting career Liberal politicians out of office and voting in some people who will bring back proper discipline for children, for our own sake and safety as well as theirs. Your insurance rates--and much more--depend on it.
